"There are quite a few apps for two-factor authentication. The most popular one, Google Authenticator, is good, convenient (though not without its shortcomings) and covers all the needs for connecting a second factor, but we advocate for diversity.

In addition, Google Authenticator is proprietary software, and it would be nice to have an alternative with open source code. Authenticator Pro is one of those - the source code is posted on GitHub, the app is free and, in our opinion, it is more convenient than Google Authenticator in terms of the sum of the functions offered."
