“Cards, Wagner, two computers": how a Kuban sysadmin outplayed the FSB (and didn't go to jail).

Duration: 32min 16sec Type: Standup

Description

"Russian hackers, PMC ""Wagner"", recruitment and change of state. All these topics are intertwined in the incredible detective story of the ""First Department"" under the protection of the sysadmin Sergei Tkachenko. He fell into the focus of the Kuban security forces after the start of the war. He was followed for more than a year, he was repeatedly summoned to talks and polls, all devices were hacked. They sneaked into the apartment and, apparently, spied through the boss at work.

Such stories are usually found out too late, when the person has already been arrested and sent to pre-trial detention center. But Tkachenko was lucky: he managed to figure out the plans of the special services, orient himself in time and, thanks to his ingenuity (and the help of the lawyers of the First Department), managed to leave the country at the last moment. We will tell you how the special services conducted this special operation, who participated in it, what methods were used — and why it was probably planned."
