What IPv4 can't do?

IPv4 continues to operate in Ukraine, but its capabilities are already limited due to the global address shortage, which was reported by RIPE NCC back in 2019. Because of this, providers are forced to use technologies such as NAT, which can complicate online games, VPNs, and direct connections. New networks and services are increasingly switching to IPv6, which is capable of providing significantly more unique addresses. Therefore, IPv4 will remain only as a temporary solution, while the future of the Internet lies with IPv6.
