How intelligence agencies control mass consciousness

All these words are used to describe roughly the same things: an attempt by intelligence agencies to influence the social and political life of a country through disinformation, propaganda, cultural programs, and agents of influence. Not a day goes by without some event being declared a psyop by the FSB, SBU, or the US State Department. And there are many conspiracy theories about the intelligence agencies themselves.
